On May 3, 2022 at 2228 hours, Lt. T. Wallace made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Goodhope area of Douglas County. As a result of this stop, K9 Kain was deployed on the vehicle and alerted to illegal narcotics within the vehicle . A search of the vehicle resulted in approximately 5 grams of methamphetamine being seized from the vehicle .
Lt. T. Wallace arrested the driver Misty Brotherton, age 41, of Protem, Missouri and placed her on a 24-hour hold. An Arrest Warrant was later issued for Possession of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine, Unlawful possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Failed to Stop for Stop Sign. Bond set at $1500 cash only, twice weekly drug testing, no illegal drugs, including marijuana and a 7 pm to 7am curfew.
All suspects should be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
