On April 10, 2025, Representative Smith addressed election integrity with a tweet stating, "In line with President Trump’s election integrity executive order, the SAVE Act will solidify important election safeguards— protecting the voices of ALL Americans and strengthening our elections."

Later that day, Smith commented on the economic situation, alluding to the March Consumer Price Index (CPI) report. He noted, "The March CPI report showed core inflation falling to the lowest level in four years. President Trump’s agenda will bring back prosperity to the working class, farmers, and small businesses, and restore American economic strength and leadership."
