Rep. Jason Smith, currently serving Missouri's 8th district in the U.S. Congress, has been active on social media addressing various political issues. With a background in law and a long-standing political career since 2013, Smith continues to engage with his constituents through his official channels.
On March 20, 2025, Rep. Jason Smith expressed his views on Greenpeace's involvement in energy-related protests. He stated: "Good. As a 501(c)(4) organization, Greenpeace benefits from their tax-exempt status. This organization ran a campaign against and supported a protest leading to the blocked construction of an oil and gas pipeline that would support American energy dominance."
The following day, March 21, 2025, he addressed concerns regarding antisemitic incidents on college campuses: "Last Congress, colleges and universities were put on notice - protect your Jewish students from targeted harassment or face consequences. So why are there STILL unauthorized protests and antisemitic incidents happening on campuses? Thankfully now we have a President that won’t"
Later that same day, Rep. Smith highlighted the economic impact of past tax reforms under President Trump: "Delivering on President Trump’s tax agenda will provide Americans of ALL income brackets with relief. Under the 2017 Trump tax cuts, workers in the lowest 10% of income saw 50% higher wage growth than those in the highest 10%."
