Rep. Jason Smith, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 8th district, has been vocal on social media regarding various political issues. On March 5, 2025, he shared his views on President Trump's policies and their impact on national security and immigration.

In a tweet posted on March 5, 2025, Rep. Smith stated that "President Trump values the safety of American citizens over providing sanctuary for illegal aliens." He further noted that "illegal border crossings are at historic lows because America finally has a President committed to our nation’s law and order."

Later that day, Rep. Smith criticized the Democratic Party's stance on housing expenditures in another tweet dated March 5, 2025. He remarked that "Democrats complain about the important work @DOGE and @ElonMusk are doing while simultaneously bragging about spending over $1 million per unit on 'affordable' housing." He concluded with a note of disbelief: "You can’t make this up."

On March 6, 2025, Rep. Smith highlighted the benefits of tax cuts under President Trump in a tweet stating that "Under President Trump’s tax cuts, families making between $20,000-$30,000 saw the largest tax cut as a percentage of income compared to any other income group." He emphasized that these measures were aimed at supporting working families by allowing them to retain more of their earnings.
