6.4% of Texas County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Texas County recorded an unemployment rate of 6.4% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 648 people out of the 24,866 living in Texas County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Texas County has remained fairly stable compared to the 6.4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Texas County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.5%.

Of the 9,535 people who had a job during that time, 63 were employed in the Armed Forces and 9,472 belonged to the civilian labor force.
