6.6% of citizens unemployed in Butler County in 2021

Butler County recorded an unemployment rate of 6.6% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,208 people out of the 42,314 living in Butler County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Butler County has decreased compared to the 6.9% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Butler County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.5%.

Of the 17,118 people who had a job during that time, 36 were employed in the Armed Forces and 17,082 belonged to the civilian labor force.
